'Halloween' Spin-off 'Last Supper: The Russellville Hacksaw Murders' Posted: 22 Jun 2010 06:13 PM PDT William Sanders is gearing up for a fall shoot for Last Supper: The Russellville Hacksaw Murders, what he calls a spin-off to the popular Halloween franchise. Marcus Koch (Sinners & Saints, Live Evil, Brainjacked, Sweatshop, 100 Tears) will be doing the props and FX work. "Every town has a story and the peaceful little midwestern town of Russellville, Illinois is no different. The story is about Charlie Bowles a respected theatre owner and loving father, who until one Halloween Night was respected by his fellow townsfolk. In one night his unthinkable acts changed and rattled a town forever." Read below for more details and watch the Facebook page and Twitter for new details when shooting begins. ![]()

Teaser Trailer for Religious Thriller 'Jonas' Posted: 22 Jun 2010 12:28 PM PDT We've got the first teaser for Adam Rehmeier's (director of the hyper-charged The Bunny Game; watch some footage here) religious thriller Jonas, which can be viewed by reading inside. "JONAS is a fictional character study laced with supernatural accents," he tells Bloody Disgusting. "After mysteriously washing up on a desolate stretch of coastline, Jonas (Gregg Gilmore) sheds his sinful past and is guided to the City of Angels. Intuitively, he knocks on the doors of those in need of a powerful message." He continues, "In contrast to THE BUNNY GAME, JONAS is shockingly square and squeaky-clean, almost old-fashioned. It's unconventional cinéma vérité approach allowed the two filmmakers to lens a realistic portrait of a man at an emotional turning point in his life. The entire production was strangely effortless, spanning only six weeks from initial concept to full execution. "Though not a true horror film, audiences can still expect high doses of uncomfortable tension and awkwardness from Gilmore's portrayal of Jonas."
First Look at Indie Psychodrama 'Song of the Shattered' Posted: 22 Jun 2010 11:40 AM PDT Wolfpak Industry Productions (15 Till Midnight) and Death Factory are pleased to announce their sure to be controversial new film Song of the Shattered. Principal photography is under way in Eastern Pennsylvania, and the film is directed by Wolfgang Meyer (15 Till Midnight). Certain scenes will also be directed by Tara Cardinal. "The film follows a young woman named Angela - portrayed by Devanny Pinn (15 Till Midnight, Piranha 3D) - who kills her abusive husband after being viciously raped after she had finally gained courage enough to leave him. Over time she finds that it is harder to move on with her life than she immediately thought it would be, which yields horrific results for those closest to her."
