Just the other day, I was bemoaning the lack of horror hosts in the modern day genre. In a world were Peter Vincent becomes a suave magician, I have no choice but to shake my head and pity this upcoming generation of genre fans. Thankfully, we have guys like writer/director Andretti Dante to attempt to restore balance to the world.

You see, he's just wrapped his upcoming anthology flick, House of 1,000 Deaths and while we're not privy to plot details just yet, we're told it will unfold as a mash-up of Tales from the Crypt and Creepshow with an Elvira-esque wrap around for good measure.

Sounds like a good time. Adult film star Misti Dawn will be your horror host (sign me up, and up again!) as she navigates you through four gruesome tales of unspeakable horror! It's true that these things are often more miss than hit lately but no one can say their hearts aren't in the right place. Color me excited about this one, which I'll be expecting to completely deliver on its delightful premise.
