It's been a while since last we heard anything regarding Neil Marshall's next movie Burst which will be coming at us in 3D courtesy of producer Sam Raimi under his Ghost House banner. That however is about to change.
Bloody Disgusting caught up with Marshall as he was doing press for his newest film Centurion, and the directed has brought everyone up to speed on the film's progress ...
"[We don't have a] shoot date [or a] release date yet," Marshall tells BD. "Raimi's producing, I'm directing. We have a writer on board who's working on the script. Fingers crossed we'll get to do that sometime soon. It's definitely going to be bloodthirsty and I'm going to do as much practical as I can and see what we can do as far as the 3D element's concerned. We'll have to throw some stuff at the screen, [but] we've got to be really careful and selective about what we're going to throw at the audience."

Penned by Gary Dauberman, the flick follows a young woman running from her troubles and finds herself stranded at a lodge with a group of strangers. One after another, they inexplicably begin to burst into pieces. Shock quickly descends into paranoia as nobody knows who to trust. And as the mystery unravels, the survivors realize that what's causing this unstoppable phenomenon is bigger and more disturbing than anyone could have ever imagined.
