| Supernatural-Adventure-Comedy 'The Night Shift' Wraps Posted: 30 Jun 2010 11:53 AM PDT Fighting Owl Films, a rapidly emerging independent film production group in Mobile, Alabama, announced the completion of principal photography on the Thomas Smith-directed supernatural-adventure-comedy The Night Shift, starring Khristian Fulmer, Erin Lilley, Soren Odom and Jonathan Pruitt. Shot locally, the film utilized talent, locations and crew from within the community. The film will now enter post-production for completion and is currently seeking distribution. "The Night Shift is a supernatural-adventure-comedy about Rue Morgan, the undead night watchman at Pinewood Oaks Cemetery. Rue, along with his buddy Herb, a limbless corpse, spends his nights trying to keep the cemeterys cantankerous residents in, and his days dreaming of a date with hard-nosed day-shifter, Claire. Its an okay afterlife until a scourge of supernatural occurrences leaves Rue not only watching the cemetery, but also watching his back!"  More inside. |

While Disney's The Sorcerer's Apprentice opens the festivities on July 8, three weeks later Eli Craig's Sundance horror comedy Tucker & Dale vs Evil will close (July 28). But that's just the beginning as inside you'll find a massive kick-start to this three week long genre film fest. |
| English-language Version of 'Dead Rising' Movie Teaser! Posted: 28 Jun 2010 04:00 PM PDT Announced a few months ago with a Japanese teaser was Zombrex: Dead Rising Sun, Keiji Inafune's live-action "Dead Rising" adaptation (or inspiration), courtesy of publisher Capcom! While the last video wasn't subtitled, below you'll know find an English-language dubbed version! "Dead Rising 2" arrives in stores September 28. "Dead Rising"'s story centers on Frank West, a photojournalist who ends up trapped in a shopping mall in the fictional town of Willamette, Colorado, that is infested with zombies. Frank must defend himself from zombie attacks, rescue survivors, contend with crazed psychopaths, and stay alive while still attempting to uncover the truth behind the incident. The player controls Frank as he explores the mall, using any available object as a weapon. |
