| Best Buy Exclusive: 'House of Wax' and 'Thir13een Ghosts' Blu-ray Pack Posted: 08 Oct 2010 03:51 PM PDT Another Blu-ray double feature has been sighted as a retailer exclusive, reports High Def Digest. It seems Warner Brothers has snuck the horror Blu-ray release of Thir13een Ghosts and House of Wax exclusively at Best Buy on September 26. Specs haven't been confirmed at this time, but Thir13een Ghosts includes all of the DVD supplements and House of Wax is the same as the previous Blu-ray release. |

Factory is set to pull back the shower curtain and reveal The Psycho Legacy, a 2-Disc Special Edition DVD set that explores the history, impact and mystique of Psycho and the films that it spawned. In addition to the 90-minute documentary feature by filmmaker Robert V. Galluzzo, the set boasts more than three hours of bonus material, including extended interviews, an hour panel discussion with Psycho star Anthony Perkins, Psycho on the Web, a tour of the Bates Motel, and much, much more. Due in stores nationwide October 19, 2010, just in time to celebrate Psycho's 50th anniversary, Bloody Disgusting scored an exclusive look at the new doc that premieres at this coming week's Screamfest Film Festival in Los Angeles (Tuesday, October 19), with a DVD release party set up for the same night at Hyaena Gallery (1928 W. Olive Ave. Burbank, CA). The owner Bill Shafer has commissioned his stable of artists to do brand new original Psycho-inspired artwork exclusively for THIS event. |
| 'Vampires Suck' Arrives in Extended Bite Me Edition Posted: 08 Oct 2010 10:18 AM PDT The Twilight spoof will be sinking its fangs into the high-definition format this November, reports High Def Digest. In an early announcement to retailers, Fox Home Entertainment will release Vampires Suck: Extended Bite Me Edition on Blu-ray on November 30. The comedy is from Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg, the duo behind the horrid Meet the Spartans. Specs and supplements have yet to be revealed, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $39.99. Vampires Suck is a comedy about contemporary teen angst and romance movies. Becca, an anxious, non-vampire teen, is torn between two boys. Before she can choose, Becca must get around her controlling father, who embarrasses Becca by treating her like a child. Meanwhile, Beccas friends contend with their own romantic issues all of which collide at the prom. |
