Horror In Your House: Post Halloween Hangover Ends

The post Halloween horror release hangover is…over. This week features the first solid release week of November. Leading the way is the documentary, Best Worst Movie, which chronicles the success/epic failure of Troll 2. Anchor Bay clears some space on their shelves with releases of Children of The Corn (Blu-ray), Crowley, Ghost Machine, and Staunton Hill. Night of the Hunter, one of the finest horror films of all time, gets the Criterion Blu-ray/DVD treatment. And for Japanese B-movie lovers (me) the insane RoboGeisha is being loosed on the public. I Spit on Your Grave (1978) Gets Blu-ray Release

The controversial thriller also known as Day of the Woman will hit Blu-ray in February, reports High Def Digest. In an announcement to retailers, Starz/Anchor Bay says Meir Zarchi's I Spit on Your Grave (1978) is coming to Blu-ray on February 8. Banned or heavily censored in many countries, the film tells the horrific tale of a writer who is brutally attacked and left for dead, only to hunt down her attackers one by one in the name of vengeance. Specs and supplements have yet to be revealed, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $24.99.

'Red Hill' Blu-Ray/DVD Announced

Starting its limited release on November 7, Patrick Hughes' Red Hill tells the story of Officer Shane Cooper, and the worst first day on a job EVER. According to Blu-Ray.com, Sony announced the Blu-Ray/DVD release of the Aussie thriller, with a street date of January 25, 2011. No specs were given, but expect those to roll out before the new year.
