Travis Betz Goes Musical With Heartfelt Horror With 'Dead Inside'

Celebrated indie filmmaker Travis Betz (Lo, Joshua) is back again with another heartfelt horror pic -- this time it's a musical! The Dead Inside, written and directed by Betz, stars Sarah Lassez and Dustin Fasching as "Fi and Wes, who are empty. While their love for each other burns strong, artistically their hearts have been locked in a box for years. Wes is a burned out photographer paying the bills by shooting weddings. Fi is the writer's-blocked author of a series of zombie novellas called, The Dead Survive. At one time they were at the top of their creative game, but recently their muse has packed its bags and vanished without leaving a note. When Fi begins to show signs of mental illness, Wes does everything in his power to help her, but her strange behaviors and breathing patterns escalate, and he soon discovers that darker forces lurk inside her. Wes has no choice but to imprison his girlfriend until he can figure out what to do with this familiar looking person he doesn't know. We caught wind of a new indie from Andy Fetscher entitled Urban Explorer, which stars Nathalie Kelley, Nick Eversman, Klaus Stiglmeier, and Max Riemelt. "Anxious to explore the mysterious hidden world under metropolitan Berlin, an international group of four urban explorers hires a local guide, Kris, who leads them into the maze of escape tunnels and subterranean fortifications under the city. When their guide has a bad fall, two of the girls in the group frantically set off to seek help while Denis, the young American, stays behind. Armin, a former East German border guard suddenly appears from nowhere. Out of sheer desperation, Denis allows Armin to lead them and their unconscious guide to safety and it is at this moment that Denis realizes he has just made the biggest mistake of his life!"
