Celebrated indie director Zack Parker (Quench, Inexchange) returns with is third feature, Scalene, starring Margo Martindale (Million Dollar Baby, Orphan), Adam Scarimbolo (A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints), and Hanna Hall (Rob Zombie's Halloween). "SCALENE is a perceptual thriller told from three points-of-view revolving around the rape of a female college student by a mentally handicapped man and his mothers subsequent revenge." Update: Evil Possesses Halloween 'Costume'

Update: Crime Scene Pictures has acquired rights and plans to shoot early next year! Word has it offers are being made on a new horror spec from writer Carter Blanchard entitled Costume. The big catch is that this new horror icon will kick off a brand new franchise. With Saw supposedly ending, we really could use something fresh. Anyhow, the story takes place on Halloween night where a a costume surfaces that possesses whomever puts it on. Think about that: the killer can never die. Genius anyone? Hoping to hear a major studio gets behind it. Blanchard also penned Dead Asleep for Jonathan Liebesman and New Line Cinema, along with Near Death for Fox Searchlight.

AFM '10: 'Dead Cert' Producer Completes 'Stalker' ('Expose' Remake)

Moviehouse Entertainment is selling a new thriller at this week's AFM entitled Stalker (a remake of Expose), which domes from Dead Cert actor/exec producer Martin Kemp. Starring Anna Brecon, Billy Murray and Jane March, the pic follows "Paula, a bestselling author retreats to her childhood home, full of secrets and mystery which disturb and distract her. Her agent sends help in the form of the strange, and not who she seems, Linda.....who pushes Paula over the edge."
