'The Walking Dead' Blu-Ray Priced Posted: 08 Nov 2010 11:07 AM PST A little bit of news hit the web today about the record-smashing hit show, which debuted on AMC two Sundays ago. No specs, artwork, or release date has been made available for The Walking Dead: Season One quite yet, but Amazon has a pre-order page up already with the suggested selling price as $44.99, which is on point with most first-week sale prices for TV shows on Blu-Ray. Considering the amount of episodes in the first season, I think the price is a bit high, so expect it to come down some. We'll post more info and specs as they're released.

DVD Review: Neil Marshall's 'Centurion' Posted: 07 Nov 2010 05:27 PM PST Violent historical epics are a somewhat rare commodity, but scarcer are the ones that are actually worth watching. Neil Marshall who is revered by horror fans for The Descent and loved by almost no one for the action/sci-fi/exploitation monstrosity Doomsday follows up his genre studio mish-mash by taking a stab at the all-but-forgotten subgenre with Centurion, which comes complete with rolling fireballs and grandiose melee weapon skirmishes. Unfortunately, the film never elevates beyond being average for a variety of reasons, leaving viewers with something merely on the level with Dog Soldiers in terms of entertainment.
