Holiday Release for 'Resident Evil: Afterlife' DVD/Blu-ray Posted: 01 Nov 2010 12:14 PM PDT Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($28.95), Blu-ray ($34.95), and Blu-ray 3D ($39.95) editions of Resident Evil: Afterlife for December 28th. Extras on the DVD will include a filmmaker commentary, and 2 featurettes ("Band of Survivors: Casting Afterlife", "Fighting Back: The Action of Afterlife"). The Blu-ray releases will include all that, along with deleted and extended scenes, additional featurettes ("Back Under the Umbrella: Directing Afterlife", "Undead Dimension: Resident Evil in 3D", "Vision of the Apocalypse: The Design of Afterlife", "New Blood: The Undead of Afterlife", "Pwning the Undead: Gamers of the Afterlife"), and outtakes.

First Details on 'Piranha 3D' DVD/Blu-ray Release Posted: 01 Nov 2010 12:12 PM PDT Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced 1-disc DVD ($28.95), 1-disc Blu-ray ($34.95), and 2-disc Blu-ray 3D ($39.95) editions of Piranha 3D for January 11th. The only extra material on the DVD release will be a filmmaker commentary, and 5 behind-the-scenes featurettes. The 1-disc Blu-ray will include all of the DVD features, plus deleted scenes with optional commentary, deleted storyboard sequences, 5 additional behind-the-scenes featurettes, the Piranha 3D trailer, and TV Spots. The only listed extra material for the 2-disc Blu-ray 3D release is the commentary, 10 behind-the-scenes featurettes, and a 2D version of the film playable on all existing Blu-ray players.
