Spanish screenwriter Antonio Trashorras is getting set to make his feature film debut with Callejon or Blind Alley for you gringos out there.

According to Variety Spain-based Cuban actress Ana de Armas (pictured below; The Boarding School, Sex, Party and Lies) will take the lead role, playing a young woman, Rosa, who while trapped in a laundry during a long and hellish night attempts to escape from a serial murderer.

Trashorras co-wrote the script of Guillermo del Toro's chiller The Devil's Backbone so he's definitely no stranger to the genre. The Spanish-language flick is set to roll in early 2011 in Spain.

Callejon has been described as "an action thriller that finishes up as a horror film with a twist," and is said to be in the same vein as Gallic horror standouts High Tension and Them. More as it comes.
